I'm Jess Hutchinson (she/her) and I've played many roles over more than 20 years of work in the arts, culture, and nonprofit space.
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Social Sector Leadership and Non-Profit Management at the University of Chicago. I am a devoted Chicagoan (living on the unceded territory of the Three Fires Council), the lucky wife of a brilliant sommelier, and proud mother of cats Ron Santo and Mayor Anton Cermak.
I am currently looking for my next professional adventure.
The arts create empathy - and empathy is the primer coat for authentic social change.
After nearly six years in various capacities at National New Play Network,
I am searching for my next role.
I love to work collaboratively with teams to establish and/or interrogate the systems and processes we use to get work done.
Driven by a belief that work, especially in nonprofits, can be humane, anti-racist, and sustainable, I center compassion, community care, and vulnerability in my work whether I'm directing a new play workshop, teaching a university course, producing a virtual conference, or building relationships with major donors.
Do you know of a role that aligns with these beliefs and values?
If so, please get in touch.
Let's get coffee.
Whether virtually or on one of Chicago's gorgeous patios, I love to hear from potential collaborators.
